I want to share a funny story with you.
A friend abruptly asked me to return an American university form that she bought for me.
Annoyed, I was determined to find out how to get the university forms myself.
Little did I know, you were supposed to pay for them.
I eventually got my hands on a booklet from the Malaysian American Commission Exchange #macee.
On the back, it said that if you wanted to receive university applications, all you had to do was fill out the card and mail it to the address.
So I did just that.
At the time, I was living at my parents’ house with my two siblings, and I had already started working.
One day, my family’s letterbox was flooded with tons of university applications from the U.S.
I don’t know how many days or weeks the applications have been coming.
But I was so bedazzled by the amount that came from a single, simple act.
Looking back, it felt like God was rewarding my patience.
The person who had taken back that one form would have surely regretted it had she known what I was about to receive.
It felt like sweet revenge!
Have you ever had a setback that turned into a sweet victory?
Share your story in the comments.
Stay kreatif,
Siti
