For the last 30 days, I’ve been dropping one story a day.
It’s been an emotional roller coaster, especially when writing about my mother, my father, and the unique start to my marriage—the first five years we didn’t live together like normal couples.
Our stories are incredibly unique, and that was confirmed when my sister read my story and cried profusely; it was so emotional for her.
My mom passed away, and her story was buried with her.
I realized later in life that I had failed to record any of my parents’ stories.
The stories I shared with you are only what I could recall from memories that are now over 30 years old.
Imagine if I still had my parents around! I could sit down with them and write down their stories directly.
I don’t want this profound loss to happen to my children.
This is the very reason I want to encourage each and every one of us to start writing our own story down for our children and grandchildren.
If you think your story isn’t interesting, or you don’t remember where to begin, don’t worry.
I’ve put together a workbook with a list of questions designed to help you craft your own unique story.
If you’ve enjoyed my stories so far, that’s just the beginning.
The journey will continue with the second half: the stories from our life in the United States. Stay tuned!
Stay kreatif,
Siti
