I want to talk about Siti Nuriati Studio’s brand color palette. I decided to change it a few years ago and I’ve never looked back.
As an artist, I love all colors. I have no preference. But, at one point in my life, I chose red, because of what it represents: bravery and boldness. It’s very significant. You can spot the color red from afar.
At one point, I used a combination of red, black, and gold. When I turned 50, I chose the color white. While white symbolizes purity, it also reminds me this is just a temporary world and not my final destination. Not to be morbid, but everybody is going to die at one point, right? So, I want to normalize the color, white.

Prior to that, I was completing the National Flower of Palestine. It’s a beautiful iris flower, and it has this beautiful shade of purple maroon. It’s not that easy, though, to come up with that color with my pastels, but I nailed it.
That year, on our wedding anniversary, my husband surprised me with a bouquet of 25 purple roses. Since my birthday and our wedding anniversary are two days apart, I got two bouquets of flowers!
Palestine’s National Flower Color
While purple is my husband’s favorite color, that wasn’t the reason I chose it as my brand color. As I gazed at and admired both the National Flower of Palestine painting and the roses, I noticed how perfectly the colors matched and suddenly, I felt inspired to make it the new brand color for Siti Nuriati Studio. Can you imagine? I was so excited and I regarded it as a sign from God that I had to choose this color as my brand color.

My support for the Palestinian cause is not in just painting its national flower, but in also choosing the color from their national flower.
I also love that I’m now aligned with my husband’s favorite color!
This is the brand color for Siti Nuriati Studio from now on, and when I design anything, for instance my website pages and social media images, I will use this color.
Even though I’ve been in creative business since the mid-90’s, it’s only been in these past few years that I’ve truly discovered what a brand color means for a business. So if you’re new, be patient with yourself. The time will come where you’ll find what really suits you and your business.
So I hope that I have enlightened you with how I came up with the brand color for Siti Nuriati Studio.
