What is your favorite social media — Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube? As for me, I like YouTube the best and it’s where I put the most effort.
Believe it or not, I have produced over 500 videos for my YouTube channel, Siti Nuriati Studio, over the past 15 years.
My involvement in creating a YouTube channel is not like most creators. I never thought of chasing subscriber counts or views. It’s more about sharing my knowledge and expertise in art.
I have not updated my channel for over a year and a half. Last year, I got so busy with my project, World’s National Flowers. The majority of my time was spent on extensive research and starting the national flower paintings.
So, I don’t really have time these days to produce videos. Videos aren’t easy to produce and I’m very much involved with every part of the video production; from writing scripts to video recording. Luckily, my husband takes care of the video post-production part.
But I’m not totally abandoning my videos though. Youtube’s the best social media platform out there compared to other social media. In fact, it’s not really social media but a search engine. As a visual learner, I prefer to watch how somethings made, instead of just reading about it.
Since the beginning of 2026, I’ve been thinking about making a ‘comeback’ to my channel. I gave myself six months to come up with new concepts, intro bumpers, videos series, the topics I’m going to cover, and all the nitty gritty for my new series.
The wait is over and I am so excited to let you know that I finally published my new series called Stay Kreatif with Siti. This series is focusing on my own story, Siti’s Story: Finding My Way to America.
I am so proud of my first video. Even with AI taking over more of our lives, I still write my own scripts and have my husband as my copy editor.
I am so thankful that I have this opportunity to create videos for my business. You can expect, that this time, my series won’t be all about art tutorials anymore. I already have plenty of art tutorials that you can watch on my Youtube channel.
I’m not sure if I will want to do this in the future. It’s more like sharing the art rather than the tutorials. My focus now is telling stories because stories are wonderful.
Here’s the video. Let me know what you think.
Stay kreatif,
Siti
